This means we’re changing how we do risk management, creating a team of risk specialists, and providing support aligned to our risk and control owners to deliver great customer outcomes.
We’re introducing a local team in LTC who will provide services to the Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk, and GCOO IT Systems and Security Risk Specialist teams in the Group’s UK-based Ringfenced Bank (RFB). The new roles will report directly to a local LTC line manager who will be accountable for the team’s performance. RFB UK will provide direction on activities and priorities.
We’re looking for an LTC Assistant Manager to provide services to our UK team to support the timely and accurate production of high-quality analysis and evaluation of the LBG’s Operational Risk and Control environment in alignment with our Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and Operational Risk Management Toolkit. You’ll also work closely with our Insurable Risks team members to help analyse the Group’s corporate insurance requirements in relation to our Property & Casualty and Financial Lines.
So, if you’re passionate about data analytics and operational risk management, then this role could be a perfect fit.
Key Accountabilities:
Working under the direction of our RFB UK Operational Risk specialists: you will:
Build strong service relationships with internal partners in 1st and 2nd lines of defence, and support the UK team as they provide an authoritative analytical LBG view on Operational Risk Management practices.
Support the UK team in its design and implementation of Operational Risk Management analytical tooling.
Adopt a data-led approach to help the UK team facilitate the understanding and adherence of compliant operational risk management practices throughout the organisation, including ongoing management and continuous monitoring of metrics and indicators, and completing thematic reviews.
Adopt a range of techniques to deliver prescribed analytical outcomes which inform Operational Risk Specialist decision-making and contribute to the function and wider business.
Report findings and deviations in a clear, accurate and compelling way to the UK team, focusing on action needed and opportunities presented.
Provide services that support chief controls offices and risk specialists to implement improvements that are designed to drive enhanced operational risk management practices.
Provide services that support the UK team’s oversight and challenge of each Business Unit’s and Risk Category’s operational risk management practices, and play a role in the accurate reporting to governance committees and executive audiences.
Continuously develop own data analytical competency to provide cutting-edge services in our data-led approaches, including leveraging the power of predictive analytics.
