Customer Service Specialist

We’re excited to welcome a Customer Service Specialist to our Chico office! In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, crew members, stakeholders, and the people we support. You’ll help create a welcoming environment while providing customer service, handling administrative responsibilities, and supporting day-to-day operations. If you are somebody who is organized, personable, and enjoys helping others, this could be the role for you. 

What you’ll do: 

• Welcome visitors, vendors, and employees. 

• Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls to the appropriate contact. 

• Provide information about the agency, including locations of other offices, contact information, and a generalized overview of Mains’l programs. 

• Maintain office equipment including maintaining office supplies and equipment. 

• Prepare and assemble mailing materials for timely distribution. 

• Maintain accurate reports, data entry, and agency contact lists. 

• Sort incoming packages and inform the recipient upon delivery. 

What we’re looking for: 

• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication. 

• Strong active listening skills with the ability to understand customer needs, ask clarifying questions, and provide helpful and appropriate solutions. 

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing priorities. 

• Proficient in operating computers, telephone systems, and standard office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and fax machines. 

• Efficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

• Able to build positive working relationships and create a welcoming experience for customers, visitors, people we support, and crew members. 

Status: Full-time 

Location: Chico, CA 

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
