Position Summary

The Legal Assistant / Paralegal provides administrative and legal support to attorneys and legal teams throughout various stages of legal matters. This role is responsible for maintaining case files, preparing legal documents, coordinating communications, managing deadlines, and supporting attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to attorneys and legal staff throughout all phases of legal matters
  • Manage and maintain case files, records, and legal documentation
  • Communicate with clients, courts, outside counsel, vendors, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Draft, prepare, review, and organize correspondence, pleadings, contracts, discovery materials, and other legal documents
  • Coordinate meetings, hearings, depositions, appointments, and other legal proceedings
  • Monitor and track deadlines, schedules, and compliance requirements
  • Conduct legal research and gather information to support case management and attorney needs
  • File documents electronically and/or in person with courts and agencies, as required
  • Maintain accurate records within the firm's document and case management systems
  • Assist with trial, hearing, arbitration, mediation, and project preparation as needed
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards, legal regulations, and organizational policies
Experience Required:
  • 5+ years in the legal field working as a Legal Assistant and/or Litigation Paralegal
  • Catastrophic Injury and/or Wrongful Death case experience
  • Ability to support Attorneys and Partners
