Description
Ekkiden is an international consulting group founded in 2019, bringing together an ecosystem of passionate and committed consultants who lead organizational, operational, and technological transformation projects across IT/Digital, Industry/R&D, and Sustainability for large enterprises and SMEs in France, Switzerland, Spain, and Germany.
The Role:
You will lead the design and development of highly integrated mechanical systems for advanced communication products operating in demanding aerospace environments, working at the intersection of mechanical engineering, electronics, thermal management, and system integration. You will play a key role across the full product lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Drive requirements, architecture definition and trade-offs
- Design and develop highly integrated mechanical assemblies and components meeting performance, reliability, size, weight, and environmental requirements
- Collaborate closely with Systems, Hardware, RF, Optical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering teams
- Work with external suppliers, manufacturing partners, and test facilities to ensure successful product realization

What We’re Looking For:
- Skilled in CAD (parametric design), with fast-paced concept development in early project stages
- Strong experience with thermal simulations and thermal management (electronic cooling solutions); experience in space environments is a major plus
- Experience in system-level architecture (mechanical, electrical, RF, optical aspects)
- Experience developing products for harsh operating environments, preferably aerospace or space
- Hands-on engineering approach with experience in prototyping, assembly, integration, and testing
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities; fluent English, oral and written
- Tools: Solidworks, Ansys Mechanical, Discovery, Icepack, Mathcad
- On-site presence in Lausanne at least 3 days per week
