DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes
Summary
Join a mission-focused engineering team supporting complex enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role combines Linux systems administration, networking, cloud, containerization, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps to deploy, integrate, maintain, and troubleshoot critical systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically versatile, and comfortable working across infrastructure, automation, and network environments.
Required
- 12+ years of experience with software and system deployments, Linux system administration, containerization, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps.
- Recent hands-on experience within the last 3 years with Kubernetes, cluster orchestration, and containerization.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience, preferably RHEL/CentOS.
- Experience with network design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Experience administering LAN/CAN/WAN environments.
- Experience with both Arista and Cisco network devices.
- Experience configuring and optimizing networks connecting front-end and back-end systems.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for software deployment.
- Experience managing and configuring Kubernetes clusters for high availability, scalability, and security.
- Experience with Python and Bash scripting.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using Ansible or Terraform.
- Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+) and CCNA certification.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional TE or related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and virtualized environments.
- Experience with system integration, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Experience supporting complex networked systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Experience with automated infrastructure deployment and configuration management.
