The opportunity:
The ETRM team in India Development Center works closely with global R&D tea, and we are setting up a high performance team in our Bengaluru office. This role will work closely with product architects, Product Management and Development teams across the globe. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of the ETRM domain and has wide knowledge of various ETRM products in the market.
How you’ll make an impact:
• As an Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) Subject Matter Expert and Product Owner, you will drive the successful delivery of innovative software solutions that support global energy and commodities trading operations.
• By translating complex business requirements into scalable product capabilities, you will help shape product strategy, optimize trading and risk management processes, and deliver measurable value to customers.
• You will lead product backlog management and Agile delivery activities, ensuring development teams are focused on the highest-priority business outcomes.
• Leveraging your deep expertise in power, gas, renewables, environmental markets, and commodities trading, you will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, enhance product capabilities, and ensure alignment with regulatory and market demands.
• Partnering across Product Management, Engineering, UX, Architecture, Security, and Quality teams, you will foster collaboration, guide solution design, and ensure successful execution of product roadmaps.
• Your leadership in a global, distributed environment will promote continuous improvement, accelerate delivery, and enable the development of high quality, customer-centric solutions that address evolving industry challenges while upholding Hitachi Energy's values of safety, integrity, and accountability.

Your background:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or an advanced degree in finance or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis.
• 5+ years of ETRM/CTRM or energy trading experience.
• Strong knowledge of power, gas, renewables, environmental markets, or commodities trading.
• Deep understanding of trading, risk management, scheduling, settlements, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Working knowledge of wholesale electricity markets and ISO/RTO operations
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams. Advanced degree and/or PSPO certification.
• Experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms such as Allegro, Endur, Openlink, RightAngle, Eka, or Hitachi Energy Velocity Suite.
• Knowledge of ISO/RTO markets (PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE).
• Experience with cloud-based enterprise software. • Understanding of renewable energy trading, VPPs, battery storage, and energy market analytics.
• Familiarity with VaR, P&L, exposure management, and hedge accounting.
