As an independent Australian firm with a long history and a big heart, we have a rich story to tell. Our spirit is built on the power of relationships with our people, clients and communities.
At Sparke Helmore, you’ll be actively involved as part of a diverse, genuine and friendly team. We’ll help you harness your ambition and take your skills to new heights with exposure to outstanding clients and easy access to exceptional leaders and mentors.
Your story is yours to define. We’d like to be part of it and for you to be part of ours.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Knowledge Solutions Lawyer to join our Knowledge Management team in Sydney.
More about the role and the team
Working closely with the Knowledge Program Manager, Knowledge Solutions team and practice groups across the firm, you will design, test and refine knowledge initiatives that leverage digital tools (including AI) while safeguarding quality, compliance and data protection.
As a key member of the Knowledge Management team, you will drive knowledge sharing, legal innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging AI, legal technology and emerging solutions to improve efficiency, enhance client outcomes and maximise the value of the firm's collective expertise.
In line with our Responsible AI framework, this role will embed risk‑analysis and safeguards into new knowledge initiatives. You will create and deliver training programs, work with our legal teams to design and calibrate our AI applied systems and deploy processes to ensure clients and lawyers benefit from reliable, ethically‑managed knowledge initiatives across the firm.
More about you
You are an experienced qualified lawyer with strong post-admission experience, ideally gained within a leading law firm, together with demonstrated expertise in knowledge management, legal innovation, legal technology, professional support or related knowledge solutions functions.
You are a skilled stakeholder manager with the ability to influence, collaborate and build trusted relationships across all levels of the firm, partnering with legal practitioners and business teams to deliver impactful knowledge initiatives.
You possess excellent legal drafting, communication and analytical skills, strong technology capability and a genuine interest in AI, legal technology and emerging trends shaping the future of legal service delivery.
