What you will have an opportunity to do:
South Seas Resort is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Food & Beverage Utilities Attendant to support the cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of our restaurants and food & beverage outlets. This early morning position plays a vital role in preparing each location for daily operations by ensuring all dining areas, kitchens, bars, and back-of-house spaces are clean, sanitized, and guest-ready before service begins.
Starting at 5:00 AM, this position is responsible for sweeping and machine-cleaning floors, maintaining front- and back-of-house cleanliness, assisting with receiving and organizing deliveries, and supporting the Food & Beverage team with general utility responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Clean and prepare all assigned Food & Beverage outlets before daily operations begin.
- Sweep, scrub, and machine-clean floors in restaurants, bars, cafés, kitchens, storage rooms, and service areas.
- Mop and sanitize hard surface flooring using commercial floor cleaning equipment.
- Clean entrances, dining rooms, beverage stations, restrooms, kitchens, and back-of-house work areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, baseboards, equipment, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with resort sanitation standards and health department regulations.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to leadership promptly.
Receiving & Inventory Support
- Assist with receiving daily food, beverage, and operational supply deliveries.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and report discrepancies or damaged products.
- Transport deliveries to designated storage areas throughout the resort.
- Stock and organize dry storage, coolers, freezers, and supply rooms.
- Rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage areas.
Operational Support
- Assist Food & Beverage leadership with general utility and operational support as needed.
- Support deep-cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout each shift.
- Follow all resort safety policies, food safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures.
- Work collaboratively with restaurant, culinary, stewarding, and warehouse teams to support efficient daily operations.
- Provide friendly, professional service while interacting with team members and guests.
What are we looking for?
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, utility, warehouse, receiving, restaurant support, or hospitality preferred.
- Ability to safely operate commercial floor-cleaning equipment or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Valid Drivers License is required.

- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including kitchens, coolers, freezers, and outdoor walkways.
