Job Summary
This position will be responsible for managing the day to day cash and banking operations of the Treasury department within Finance. This includes maintaining the cash projections for the health system, managing banking accounts and user administration, and ensuring the Treasury Department day to day operations are completed timely and accurately. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for assisting the Director of Treasury with other tasks as needed.
Essential Functions
- Daily Cash Management: Lead daily cash positioning, validating and presenting critical liquidity data for decision-making.
- Treasury Reporting: Lead the creation and analysis of the suite of treasury performance reports, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Banking Relations: Manage operational banking engagements, troubleshooting advanced issues and overseeing bank services and fees with the support of the Director.
- Strategic Projects: Formulate and manage high-impact treasury projections and analytical initiatives, leading scope and execution.
- Process Improvement: Design and implement optimized workflows, driving continuous process improvement and automation across the department.
- Internal Collaboration: Act as the primary treasury advisor for stakeholders, providing expertise and mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other related field Required
- 4+ years of progressive experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking Required
- 1-3 years Healthcare Experience preferred - Prior experience in a large healthcare or hospital system is a plus
- Treasury Operations Expertise: Advanced understanding of corporate liquidity management, cash forecasting methodologies, and banking payment rails (Wires, ACH, RTP). (High proficiency)
- Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to guide junior staff, lead cross-functional financial initiatives, and act as a strategic advisor to internal departments. (Medium proficiency)
- Financial Systems Acumen: Experience administering and optimizing Treasury Management Systems (TMS), enterprise ERPs (Infor, Workday), and complex online banking portals. (Medium proficiency)
- Strategic Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill and present complex liquidity data clearly to leadership and non-finance stakeholders. (High proficiency)
- Process Optimization: Demonstrated ability to independently identify workflow inefficiencies, assess risk, and design automated, secure financial processes. (High proficiency)
