What you bring to SBHG:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate of Arts degree or technical/vocational/secretarial school diploma preferred.
Experience
- Two (2) years general office experience in a medical or mental health setting required.
- Medical records experience preferred.
- Experience with billing/coordination systems preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
How you will make a difference:
The Intake/Discharge Specialist supports the admissions and discharge process by verifying current Medi-Cal eligibility, logging referrals into EMR and Smart Care systems, and ensuring all required documentation, consents, and legal forms are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities include coordinating internal and external activities related to admissions and discharges, maintaining admission and discharge logs for Community Services programs, and tracking key program data such as referrals, census information, and caseloads across Community Services (CS) and Stars Behavioral Health Group (SBHG).

Facility & Setting: Administrative support to the clerical team serving the Outpatient Community-Based Program.
Skills and Services: Clerical office support through data entry, administration, customer service, phone support, mail processing.
