Description

Prepare and coordinate a range of Canadian temporary and permanent residence applications for corporate clients and their employees. Support applications and matters involving work permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments, employer compliance, business visitors, intra-company transferees, international mobility programs, permanent residence, and other Canadian immigration pathways. Review client and applicant documentation, identify missing or inconsistent information, and follow up to obtain the materials required for filing. Draft application forms, supporting letters, submission materials, and other immigration-related documentation for lawyer review. Conduct immigration research and help assess potential options based on an individual's circumstances and the client's business needs. Maintain ownership of assigned matters, including tracking deadlines, monitoring case progress, and ensuring files remain accurate and current. Communicate regularly with corporate contacts, foreign nationals, and internal stakeholders regarding case requirements, timelines, risks, and next steps. Provide clear, timely, and professional responses to client and applicant inquiries. Use immigration case-management systems and other technology platforms to maintain case records, documentation, status information, and reporting data. Support client reporting, program-management activities, and special projects as required. Monitor changes in Canadian immigration legislation, policies, procedures, and government processing practices. Collaborate with lawyers, law clerks, consultants, and global colleagues to provide a consistent and connected client experience. Contribute to process improvements and identify opportunities to use technology and automation to improve quality, efficiency, and the client experience. Support the development of junior team members by sharing knowledge, reviewing work, and providing guidance, where appropriate. Apply today and take your legal career to the next level. Previous experience supporting Canadian immigration matters, preferably within a corporate immigration law firm, professional-services organization, or high-volume immigration environment. Practical knowledge of Canadian temporary and permanent immigration programs and processes. Experience preparing Canadian business immigration applications and supporting documentation. Law clerk diploma, paralegal qualification, immigration-related credential, university degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain requirements and next steps clearly to clients and applicants. Excellent organizational and case-management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Sound judgment and the ability to recognize issues that require escalation or legal review. A client-focused and collaborative approach, with the ability to build trusted working relationships. Comfort working with case-management platforms, document-management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other digital tools. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and globally connected environment. Fluency in French and English may be required or considered an asset depending on the position's location and client responsibilities.
