Title and Summary

Director, Agent Pay Product & Solutions Lead (Greater China)

As a product and solutions leader within Mastercard's AI Center of Excellence based in Singapore, you will drive the market development, product strategy, solution design, and commercialization of Agent Pay and agentic commerce capabilities across Greater China, covering both domestic and cross-border use cases.

Acting as the bridge between Mastercard's global AI and payment innovation teams and the Greater China market, you will work closely with issuers, merchants, fintechs, AI companies, digital platforms, acquirers, and ecosystem partners to identify opportunities, deploy trusted payment experiences, and shape the future of AI-powered commerce.

This role combines product leadership, solution development, ecosystem engagement, and business growth responsibilities, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Market Development

• Co-define and execute Mastercard's Agent Pay strategy and roadmap for Greater China.
• Translate global Agent Pay capabilities into locally relevant, scalable, and China-ready solutions.
• Identify emerging opportunities in agentic commerce, AI-powered payments, digital identity, authentication, consent, authorization, and autonomous transactions.
• Shape product requirements and solution concepts to address local market needs, market infrastructure, customer expectations, and regulatory considerations.

Client Innovation & Solution Development

• Partner with issuers, merchants, acquirers, fintechs, AI companies, digital platforms, and technology partners to co-create innovative payment solutions.
• Lead discovery workshops, solution design sessions, product validation, and pilot initiatives.
• Develop product requirements, customer journeys, use cases, payment flows, and high-level solution architecture.
• Support prototype development, proof-of-concepts, market validation, and client-facing demonstrations.

Ecosystem Leadership

• Partner with Greater China CSC team to build and manage strategic relationships across GC's AI, payments, technology, digital commerce, and fintech ecosystems.
• Represent Mastercard in selected industry forums, innovation initiatives, and strategic partner engagements.
• Identify ecosystem gaps and develop partnership strategies to accelerate Agent Pay adoption and interoperability.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Regional, and Market teams to drive execution.
• Influence global product direction through Greater China market feedback, customer insights, and local deployment learnings.
• Lead multi-stakeholder initiatives and complex deployment programs from concept through adoption and scaling.

Commercialization & Growth

• Partner with Greater China CSC team to co-develop go-to-market strategies, value propositions, adoption plans, and commercialization opportunities.
• Support sales and account teams in senior client engagements, proposals, and executive-level conversations.
• Drive market adoption, business impact, and strategic positioning for Agent Pay solutions in Greater China.


All About You

Must Have

• Extensive experience in product management, digital payments, fintech, AI solutions, platform development, consulting, or innovation leadership.
• Experience bringing products, platforms, or technology solutions from concept to market deployment and adoption.
• Strong understanding of payments, digital commerce, authentication, tokenization, APIs, digital identity, or AI technologies.
• Experience working directly with senior external stakeholders, strategic partners, and cross-functional internal teams.
• Strong communication, influencing, and executive storytelling skills in both Mandarin and English.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing, ambiguous, and matrixed global environment.

Preferred

• Experience with AI agents, generative AI, LLM applications, digital identity, passkeys, authentication, or consent-based authorization technologies.
• Experience in cross-border payments, wallets, tokenization, merchant acceptance, or emerging payment solutions.
• Experience engaging regulators, industry associations, public sector stakeholders, or market infrastructure participants.
• Experience developing prototypes, client demos, user flows, or product concepts for emerging technology solutions.

• Clear Agent Pay roadmap and market strategy for Greater China, aligned with global direction and local market needs.
• High-quality client and partner pipeline across issuers, merchants, AI companies, platforms, and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Successful pilots, commercial opportunities, and scalable deployments that strengthen Mastercard's leadership in trusted agentic commerce.
• Strong confidence from senior leadership and external stakeholders in product direction, solution quality, and execution momentum.
