Your Challenge
Design, develop, and implement cost-effective test methods, diagnostic software, custom fixtures, and test specifications to validate complex systems, components, and equipment for use in production and engineering development environments.
Independently reverse engineers, repairs, modifies, and modernizes existing test equipment with little or no documentation to align legacy systems with standardized platforms.
Performs hands-on test equipment assembly, including soldering, wiring, harnessing, Interface Test Adapter (ITA) integration, and DAQ hardware selection.
Develop test plans and lead testing activities to verify functional, performance, and regulatory compliance for new products, upgrades, and manufacturing processes
Decompose top-level requirements into structured, independent tests suitable for automation and operator execution.
Create test procedures, proprietary and Python-based test scripts, and line operator work instructions.
Generate automated test reports and manage data storage, retrieval, and traceability.
Analyze test data, perform root cause investigations, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve test coverage, process predictability, and equipment efficiency.
Work effectively within active manufacturing areas supporting production testing needs, serving as a first‑line responder when EOL test equipment issues create production disruptions or line‑down conditions.
Plan and manage labor, scheduling, and equipment resources for standard and special-purpose testing.
Manage vendors and coordinate procurement, delivery, and integration of test equipment hardware.
Mentor junior engineers, contribute to process and equipment improvements, support proposal development, and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as test automation and enhanced data acquisition.
Participate in design reviews to ensure designs adhere to Design for Test (DFT) philosophy for embedded motor controllers and PCB layouts.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
6-10+ years of progressive experience in test engineering or system validation.
Proven success designing and executing test strategies for complex electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical systems.
Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) or previously held such certification; equivalent practical LabVIEW experience considered.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with test equipment hardware, including harnessing, soldering, ITAs, schematic creation, and DAQ hardware selection.
Experience with root cause analysis, statistical testing methods, and process validation.
Demonstrated ability to reverse engineer, repair, modify, and modernize test equipment with little or no documentation.
Proficiency in test planning, documentation, and reporting to internal and regulatory standards
Experience creating structured test procedures, test scripts (proprietary and Python), and operator work instructions.
Experience working in busy manufacturing environments supporting production and engineering testing.
Experience creating automated test reports and managing test-related data.
Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, engineering-driven environments
Commitment to quality, accuracy, and fostering a culture of testing excellence and innovation
What Sets You Apart
