Digital Technology Organization | China
Position Summary
- Lead the implementation, integration, and rollout of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions across ICS manufacturing sites in China. Partner with implementation partners, Manufacturing, OT, IT, and external vendors to drive standardization, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
MES Solution Delivery
- Lead end-to-end MES implementations from requirements gathering through go-live and hyperCare support.
- Analyze manufacturing business processes and translate requirements into MES solutions.
- Support MES deployments for both discrete and process manufacturing environments.
- Drive MES standardization, template development, and best practice adoption across multiple sites.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
Systems Integration
- Design and support integrations between MES and enterprise systems, including ERP, Historian, SCADA, and manufacturing applications.
- Define data flows, interface requirements, integration standards, and system architectures.
- Ensure reliable and scalable connectivity between shopfloor and enterprise systems.
- Promote reusable integration patterns and deployment standards across sites.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, and delivery quality.
- Coordinate business teams, OT teams, IT teams, and external implementation partners.
- Support multi-site MES rollout programs and deployment governance activities.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Operational Support & Governance
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and MES application support.
- Monitor system performance, interfaces, and data quality.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, cybersecurity requirements, and audit expectations.
- Support architecture reviews, ODL assessments, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Automation, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in MES, Manufacturing IT, Industrial Automation, or Digital Manufacturing.
- Proven experience delivering at least one full MES implementation from requirements through successful go live.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations in discrete and/or process industries.
- Experience integrating MES with ERP, Historian, SCADA, and shop-floor systems.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mainstream MES platforms such Op-Center, FTPC or others.
- Familiarity with ISA-95, Purdue Model, and IT/OT integration principles.
- Working knowledge of Java, JBoss, MS SQL Server, Docker, Nginx, REST APIs, OPC UA, or MQTT.
- Experience supporting multi-site MES deployments in a global manufacturing environment.
- Experience with reporting, analytics, and manufacturing data platforms.
