Description
Our brand, Lennor Metier Consulting, a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a multinational tech company in their search for a Trade Finance Expert based in BGC.
Salary Range: Open
Work Setup: Hybrid
Shift Schedule: Day Shift
Location: BGC
The Role
We are looking for a Trade Finance SME to support a core banking transformation program for a client based in the
Philippines. The SME will own the Trade Finance product stream (e.g., Trade 360/Trade Finance platform), representing the module in solution design discussions and ensuring the To-Be design meets business and regulatory requirements.
This is a core banking implementation role. The candidate must have hands-on, end-to-end experience delivering core banking transformation programs (not advisory-only exposure), and must be comfortable working directly with product vendors to challenge, validate, and finalize the To-Be system design.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document trade finance requirements covering Letters of Credit (LC), Guarantees, and Collections lifecycle.
- Support integration design for trade finance interfaces with upstream and downstream systems (GL, payments,
lending, and reporting). - Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the product/module during requirement analysis, solution design, build, testing, and cutover phases of the core banking implementation.
- Engage directly with product vendors to clarify product capability, configuration options, gaps, and constraints, and drive decisions on the To-Be system design.
- Lead and/or contribute to workshops with business stakeholders, interface teams, the Solution Architecture team, and platform vendors to gather and validate requirements.
- Prepare and own Interface Specification Documents (ISDs)/functional and technical design documents, and drive review sign-off with upstream and downstream teams.
- Support solution design for integrating the platform with upstream and downstream applications via MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based interfaces.
- Support SIT/UAT test planning and execution, triage integration defects, and drive resolution with the vendor and delivery teams.
- Support data mapping, migration validation, and reconciliation activities relevant to the module.
- Support cutover planning and hypercare activities through go-live.
- Manage stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams, and escalate risks/issues proactively.
What We're Looking For:
- Hands-on experience implementing a trade finance platform (e.g., Trade 360 or equivalent) as part of a core banking transformation.
- Strong functional knowledge of LC issuance/amendment, Guarantees, and Collections lifecycle processing. Experience defining trade finance interfaces with GL, payments, and reporting systems.
- At least 10 years of overall IT experience, with substantial hands-on experience in core banking transformation / implementation programs.
- Proven experience working as an individual contributor who can independently drive solutioning, documentation, and approval, this is a hands-on role, not a purely supervisory one.
- Strong stakeholder management skills; able to work with business teams, interface/platform teams, and Solution Architecture teams.
- Experience preparing and obtaining sign-off on Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) and integration design artifacts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting solution options to senior stakeholders and vendors.
