Job Title: Teradata Data Engineer
Experience Level: Junior (L2 - 3 to 5 years)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Teradata Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise data solutions across Teradata, Cloudera Hadoop, Oracle, and Informatica platforms. This role involves collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data integration, reporting, and analytics solutions that support the bank's data and analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes for enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Develop and optimize Teradata, Oracle, and SQL-based data pipelines for large-scale data processing.
- Build and maintain data integration workflows using Informatica Data Integration tools (BDM, IDQ, IDL).
- Support data ingestion and processing on Cloudera Hadoop platforms using Hive, Spark, Impala, Kafka, and HUE.
- Perform data analysis, data validation, and reconciliation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with business analysts, system analysts, and application teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power BI, or Business Objects.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production data jobs, resolving issues and optimizing performance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Utilize DevOps and source code management tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, JIRA, and Control-M to support software delivery and scheduling.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, enterprise data warehouse (EDW), or system analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Teradata IntelliFlex, Cloudera Hadoop Distribution (6.x), and Oracle.
- Experience with Informatica Data Integration tools, including BDM, IDQ, and IDL.
- Strong SQL development skills across Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
- Experience with big data technologies, including Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, HUE, and Cloudera Data Science Workbench.
- Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools such as Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power BI, and Business Objects.
- Familiarity with Python, R, and R Studio for data processing and analytics.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, JIRA, and Control-M.
- Working knowledge of operating systems including Linux, Windows, AIX, and AS400.
- Experience with Teradata tools such as TD Studio, Viewpoint, IFX, MDM, and FSLDM/GCFR is preferred.
- Good understanding of data modeling concepts, including FSLDM and data mart design.

- Credit Risk Analytics
- Credit Scoring and Decision Support Systems
- Treasury & Wealth Management (Murex)
- Trade Finance and Accounts Receivable Management (FITAS, ARF)
- Retail Banking and Card Systems (SilverLake)
- Enterprise Data Modeling (FSLDM / Data Marts)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AS400, Experian PowerCurve, or SAS is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex data integration initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile or DevOps environment.
