Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains.
This program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharmaceutical business with agility.
Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.
We are seeking a highly capable Methodology Manager to help define, standardize, and continuously improve the delivery methodology for Transcend, a global transformation program focused on harmonizing ways of working and consolidating seven ERP systems into one S/4 HANA platform supporting the Innovative Medicine business.
This role will be located in Beerse, Belgium.
A pre-identified candidate for consideration has been identified. However, all applications will be considered.
In this role, you will own and evolve the program methodology across a sophisticated, multi-release environment, ensuring consistent standards, tools, templates, governance practices, and delivery expectations are embedded across teams.
You will work closely with Global Program Managers, PMO leadership, Deployment Leads, and cross-functional business and technology leaders to ensure the methodology enables predictable execution, clear decision-making, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement at scale.
Methodology Management & Governance
- Lead the definition, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Transcend delivery methodology across program phases, releases, and workstreams.
- Establish and manage standards, tools, templates, playbooks, and ways of working that enable consistent, high-quality execution across the program.
- Drive methodology governance by ensuring delivery practices are clearly documented, understood, adopted, and applied consistently by program teams.
- Partner with PMO and program leadership to align methodology requirements with governance forums, integrated planning, RAID management, change control, and reporting needs.
- Embed quality, compliance, and risk management expectations into methodology assets to support reliable delivery in a regulated environment.
- Champion predictive and data-driven delivery practices that help identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities early.
- Ensure methodology materials support clear decision-making, accountability, and traceability across key program activities and deliverables.
- Maintain visibility of methodology adoption and effectiveness, using feedback and performance data to strengthen tools, processes, and guidance.
- Ensure clear documentation of methodology decisions, updates, action items, and follow-ups to drive alignment and execution.
Cross-Functional Enablement & Change Adoption
- Lead methodology enablement activities for program teams, Deployment Leads, and offshore resources to support consistent understanding and application of delivery standards.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and practical support to help teams adopt methodology expectations and resolve process-related questions.
- Partner with Global Program Managers, PMO leadership, and cross-functional leaders to align methodology priorities with program objectives and delivery needs.
- Build strong relationships across geographically dispersed teams to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as an escalation point for methodology-related issues by coordinating resolution with leadership and cross-functional collaborators.
Continuous Improvement & Accountability
- Align methodology activities with program objectives by partnering with Deployment Leads and workstream teams to enable disciplined, repeatable execution.
- Provide clear and timely updates on methodology adoption, process performance, risks, and improvement opportunities to support informed decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement by employing data, lessons learned, and team feedback to enhance program processes, tools, templates, and capabilities.
- Ensure effective methodology execution through practical guidance, focused tracking, reliable governance integration, and proactive risk management.
