Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to support an onshore EPC project in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, engineering coordination, construction support, and commissioning assistance for piping systems throughout project execution. The role requires extensive site-based experience, close coordination with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, clients, contractors, and vendors, and strong knowledge of ADNOC requirements and applicable international standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide senior-level piping engineering support for onshore EPC project execution.
- Review and develop piping engineering deliverables, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Lead and coordinate piping engineering activities with other disciplines including Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and Commissioning.
- Review piping layouts, P&IDs, isometrics, piping plans, material specifications, line lists, and related engineering documents.
- Ensure piping design and installation activities comply with project specifications, ADNOC requirements, applicable codes, and international standards.
- Provide technical support to construction teams during piping fabrication, erection, installation, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Resolve site technical queries, engineering issues, RFIs, and construction-related piping problems.
- Review contractor and vendor technical submissions, method statements, material approvals, and relevant documentation.
- Monitor piping construction activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for piping inspection, testing, punch-list clearance, and documentation.
- Support hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, pressure testing, leak testing, and other piping pre-commissioning activities.
- Provide technical support during commissioning and assist in troubleshooting piping-related issues.
- Participate in site meetings, technical reviews, progress meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings with the client and contractors.
- Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure piping systems are mechanically complete and ready for commissioning.
- Support construction and commissioning teams in achieving project milestones safely and efficiently.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in piping engineering, preferably within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial EPC projects.
- ADNOC-approved engineer with valid/current approval.
- Strong experience in onshore oil & gas EPC projects.
- Proven construction and commissioning experience with significant site-based exposure.
- Strong knowledge of piping engineering, installation, fabrication, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Experience with piping layouts, P&IDs, isometrics, piping specifications, material selection, line lists, and related engineering documentation.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with all engineering disciplines and multidisciplinary construction teams.
- Strong understanding of relevant international piping codes, standards, and ADNOC project requirements.
- Experience in resolving site engineering issues and providing practical construction solutions.
- Strong experience coordinating with clients, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams.
