Scope of Responsibility
The School of Health Sciences and Wellness (SHSW) is hiring program assistants who are responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties that directly support the operational management of 6 undergraduate programs and 6 graduate programs.
Specific Duties
- Administrative tasks: filing, copying, scanning, data entry, email correspondence, file management.
- Program specific support led by undergraduate program directors.
- Maintain a UWSP staff email account.
- Organizing program supplies.
Skills/Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook & Canvas).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Adaptability.
- Critical thinking.
- Confidentiality compliance (HIPAA, FERPA)
- GA – level work only: completion of bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a SHSW graduate program.
Qualifications and Compensation
To qualify for this position, applicants must be in good academic standing with the University. The position requires the ability to work approximately 10-20 hours per week during the semester. Winterim hours may also be available but are not guaranteed. Majority of scheduled hours fall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday) with occasional Saturday hours as needed. Hourly rate range: $12 – 16.95/hour.
