Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain the bank’s network (fixed and wireless) and Internet service.
• Install and maintain the bank’s security service and its security rule sets.
• Ensure the bank’s network meet the predefined service level.
• Work closely with application development teams in setting up the development/production network according to the development plans and implementation plans.
• Participate in application development projects with focus on network design
• Monitor the capacity and performance of the bank’s network.
• Provide production support to troubleshoot and resolve network related problems.
• Support the Disaster Recovery and BCP drill exercise.
• Assist to define network & security related policy and baseline.
• Enforce and execute problem and change management procedures
• Overseas branch support
• Onsite support to Data Center / Site Office / Branch Office during non-office hour
• Roster on call standby during non-office hour

Requirements:

• Undergraduate or postgraduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Strong IT background with experience and good programming skills preferred
• Broad general knowledge, high versatility and good analytical ability
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin
• A team player with a “can do” attitude
• Quick learner and adopt new changes
• Self-started and independent thinker
• Strong interest in technology and doing hands-on work
• Attention to details and being able to put on customer’s lens when defining the customer journey
• Positive thinking and willing to take up assigned tasks
