Job Description
Responsible for the development and implementation of various reporting systems for revenue and expense. Leads collaboration with Finance and Business Partners to support fundraising programs, campaigns, and initiatives to ensure that divisional and organization-wide financial goals are achieved. Refines and maintains financial models and performs financial analysis to support various initiatives. Ensures timely and accurate revenue and expense tracking to assist Finance and Business Partners in forecasting and budgeting. This position partners with marketing strategists to track financial performance of some of ALSACs most impactful marketing fundraising programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Works with Development Finance Leadership, Financial Analysts, and Business Partners in developing and implementing reporting for revenue, expense, and program activity to monitor financial performance.
2. Analyzes revenue and expense information for programs, campaigns, and initiatives and makes forecasting and budgeting recommendations to Development Finance leadership.
3. Assists in creating and adjusting divisional annual budget and monthly financial forecast.
4. Facilitates training on budgeting and forecasting tools and suggests solutions for issues and concerns that surface during implementation.
5. Conducts revenue, expense, and activity trend analysis and makes suggested actions and/or course-corrections to Leadership and Business Partners.
6. Independently identifies and investigates financial areas needing deeper analysis and shares findings with Finance leadership.
7. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate monthly close for Development division.
8. Develops and reports on ad hoc revenue and/or expense requests from Development Finance Leadership, Business Partners, and others.
Job Requirements:
- Requires a thorough knowledge of non-profit fundraising and experience in accounting and/or Financial Planning & Analysis.
- High performer displaying dependability, organizational skills and the consistent ability to follow-up and follow-through in a timely manner.
- Service oriented with a passion for working cross-functionally and with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires a substantial understanding of Finance and data software applications such as Hyperion/Smart View, Oracle, and Excel.
- 3 to 5 years of Accounting, FP&A, fundraising, or business-related experience. Bachelor's Degree.
Location & Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position based at ALSAC's National Executive Office (NEO) in Memphis, Tennessee. Team members are expected to work a combination of on-site and remote days in accordance with organizational hybrid work guidelines.
