Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Wound Ostomy Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This specialized nursing position focuses on providing expert assessment, treatment, and education for patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence issues. As a Contract Wound Ostomy Nurse, you will work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams across various clinical settings. Role and Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment and Care Management

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, vascular ulcers, and traumatic wounds
• Evaluate and manage patients with ostomies, including colostomies, ileostomies, and urostomies, ensuring proper function and addressing complications
• Assess patients with continence issues and develop individualized care plans to address incontinence-related skin damage
• Perform detailed wound measurements, documentation, and photographic records to track healing progress
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and conditions
• Select and recommend appropriate wound care products, dressings, and ostomy supplies based on clinical assessment
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize healing outcomes

Patient and Family Education

• Provide comprehensive education to patients and caregivers regarding wound care techniques, ostomy management, and skin protection strategies
• Teach patients
