Position Summary

The Traveling Pharmacist, Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturing is a key member of the Technical and Manufacturing Support Team responsible for supporting PET radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and pharmacy operations across the national Radiopharma Solutions network.

This highly visible role combines technical expertise, manufacturing support, pharmacy operations, troubleshooting, quality compliance, training, and operational leadership. The successful candidate will provide both onsite and remote support to manufacturing facilities, assist with complex production challenges, qualify and train site personnel, contribute to investigations and process improvements, and provide interim pharmacy leadership support when needed.

Travel Requirements

This is a remote-based position requiring extensive travel throughout the United States.

• Travel up to 70% as business needs require.
• Provide onsite support at PET radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and pharmacy facilities nationwide.
• Support overnight production operations, alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and urgent operational needs when necessary.
• Assist locations requiring technical expertise, operational stabilization, training support, or interim pharmacy leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Pharmacy Operations Support

• Provide onsite manufacturing support for PET radiopharmaceutical production across the national Radiopharma Solutions network.
• Support radionuclide production, radiopharmaceutical preparation, testing, dispensing, and distribution activities.
• Perform dose dispensing where authorized by state licensure.
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy, radiation safety, cGMP, and company operational requirements.
• Support site operations during staffing shortages or periods of increased operational demand.
• Serve as interim pharmacy leadership support when needed to help stabilize site operations.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing personnel, providing both remote and onsite troubleshooting support.
• Support operation and maintenance of cyclotrons, chemistry modules, analytical instrumentation, quality control systems, and associated software applications.
• Provide expertise in analytical equipment including HPLC, TLC, Gas Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, and related technologies.
• Assist field personnel in resolving production issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Interface with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Training teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.

Training & Qualification

• Train and qualify new and existing personnel on manufacturing and quality control processes.
• Conduct onsite applications support and operational training activities.
• Ensure personnel maintain qualifications and readiness to support manufacturing activities.
• Support implementation of new products, technologies, procedures, and operational improvements.

Quality & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), pharmacy regulations, radiation safety requirements, corporate policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support quality investigations, operational deviations, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Review, revise, and develop manufacturing, quality, and technical documentation.
• Maintain required records and operational documentation.
• Ensure proper performance of aseptic processing, sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and quality control procedures.
• Support inspection readiness and compliance initiatives across supported sites.

Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis

• Collect, analyze, trend, and present operational and manufacturing data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Support investigations into complex production issues and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance across the network.

Shipping & Material Management

• Prepare shipments of radioactive materials in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Ensure proper handling, packaging, and transport activities are completed safely and compliantly.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, PharmD, or equivalent pharmacy degree.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain required licenses based on business needs.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, radiopharmaceutical production, nuclear pharmacy, laboratory operations, or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing or quality environments.
• Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC, TLC, or similar laboratory systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% nationally.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PET radiopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Nuclear pharmacy experience.
• Experience supporting commercial radiopharmaceutical production operations.
• Experience with Fluorine-18 (18F) radiochemistry.
• Experience serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) or pharmacy leadership roles.
• Knowledge of radioactive material handling and radiation safety programs.
• Experience conducting manufacturing investigations and process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with cyclotron operations, chemistry modules, and associated manufacturing technologies.
• Experience supporting multiple manufacturing locations or field-based operations.

The base pay range for this position is:

$111,910 - $153,879

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
