Description

The Innovation and Technology Department is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect* to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. This position will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and innovative technical solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.
The ServiceNow Architect will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and organizational leadership to develop solutions that support business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and follow ServiceNow best practices and enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities may include:- Architect and Design Solutions: Lead the design of end-to-end ServiceNow solutions, including technical architecture, data models, workflows, integrations, and platform configurations.
- Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance to ServiceNow developers and technical staff. Establish development standards and best practices and mentor team members on ServiceNow capabilities and implementation strategies.
- Analyze Business Requirements: Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluate requirements, and translate them into technical specifications, solution designs, and implementation plans.
- Develop and Configure the Platform: Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and functionality using JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS, and other ServiceNow technologies. Configure workflows, forms, UI policies, catalog items, and related platform components.
- Develop Enterprise Integrations: Architect and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP, MID Servers, and other integration technologies while maintaining data integrity, security, and reliability.
- Optimize Performance and Scalability: Evaluate system performance and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of ServiceNow solutions. Implement performance-tuning strategies and monitor platform performance.
- Support Governance and Compliance: Ensure ServiceNow solutions comply with organizational governance, security, compliance, and data protection standards. Implement appropriate security controls, access restrictions, and audit capabilities.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution designs, configuration guides, and technical specifications. Provide training and knowledge transfer to technical staff and end users.

Qualifying experience must include:
- Designing ServiceNow solutions, data models, workflows, and applications.
- Architecting and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments.
- Experience with ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITFM, HRSD, PPM and SPM.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, and other protocols.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing ServiceNow platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed courses from an accredited** college or university in programming, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Substitution: A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited** college or university in programming, computer science, software engineering, or related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
**Qualifying degrees and coursework must be conferred by institutions accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Degrees earned outside the United States must be accompanied by an evaluation from a recognized credential evaluation service verifying U.S. equivalency.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience architecting and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions in an enterprise environment and demonstrate strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, integrations, development practices, and security principles. The successful candidate will also have excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
