Your Job:
The Manager Business Surgical Services is responsible for efficient business operations in the surgical services department. You will assure patients and physicians quality of service and satisfaction in the areas of scheduling, equipment, supply distribution and charging.  You will handle researching, planning, and implementing methods and mechanisms for reimbursement, expense, cost containment and budgeting for the surgical services department.  You're responsible for data collection analysis systems and supervising clerks and acts as a resource to the materials management and finance areas by designing data analysis of current budgets. 

Your Job Requirements:

• MBA required, RN preferred

Your Job Responsibilities :

• Assures inventory control and maintenance practice in MOR, SPD, ASC and Anesthesia.
• Assist managers in determining par levels on supplies and has a method of quarterly review of par levels.
• Ensures inventory turns 6 or fewer times per year if items are not turned at that frequency a detail report of the cause is given.
• Develop reports assuring proper ordering is assigned to users cost center and stocking levels of supplies are maintained.
• Assures proper charging of supplies, time and rental equipment by supervising billing STAFF and monitoring documents used with par levels established with the managers of the area.
• Assures proper, timely capital, operational and Zero Based budget preparation with the manager for each department in the Surgical Services Department.
• Partners with Material's Management on all Methodist campuses to assure the proper company negotiation.
• Communicates effectively with customers, medical staff, hospital staff, and management.
• Utilizes Lawson, SMS, and Meditech reports for analysis review. By the 5th of the month, has summary of the utilization of the operating rooms and surgeons or reports requested by the OR Committee.
• Assures financial monthly analysis is taught and reviewed with managers as needed and reports the improvement/outcome to the Director.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
