Position Overview
- Teach 6th–7th grade mathematics, delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction and developing effective lesson plans.
- Create and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that supports student learning and behavior expectations.
- Assess student progress, provide appropriate feedback/interventions, and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to communicate student needs and maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, grades, and academic progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification in Mathematics preferred
- Non-certified applicants must have at least 12 college credits in mathematics and provide a copy of their transcripts
- 1–2 years of classroom teaching experience in mathematics preferred, including experience with lesson planning and classroom management
