DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Cardiovascular Procedures Unit (CVPU) at University of Washington Medical Center–Montlake provides specialized cardiovascular procedural care across the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Interventional Cardiac Recovery Unit (ICRU). As part of a nationally recognized academic medical center, our team provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing complex diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.  The CVPU is committed to safe, high-quality, evidence-based practice and a patient-centered approach.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll functions for the Cardiovascular Procedures Unit (CVPU) across both the Montlake and Northwest campuses, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, labor contracts, and payroll procedures.

  • Maintain accurate employee schedules, timecards, leave records, staffing assignments, and payroll documentation using UKG Pro and other departmental systems.

  • Serve as a primary resource for CVPU staff, communicating clearly and effectively regarding scheduling, staffing, payroll, and operational processes.

  • Partner with CVPU leadership to support staff onboarding, orientation, credential tracking, education compliance, and department-wide operational initiatives.

  • Support daily operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Prep/Recovery units by coordinating unit resources, meetings, supplies, vendor access, interpreter services, calendars, and other administrative activities that promote effective patient care.

  • Perform unit secretary functions for the CVPU, including answering and triaging telephone calls, processing unit documentation, managing patient-related administrative activities, and serving as a resource for patients and families.


REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of admin experience.

  • Experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management Software is a plus!

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
