Location: Cincinnati, OH
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Shift: 3rd Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:45 PM–10:45 AM
Overtime: Saturdays as needed; Saturday hours are paid as overtime
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to join a manufacturing operation in Cincinnati, OH. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues. This position also provides technical guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, controls, and industrial equipment
- Diagnose equipment issues using electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Interpret ladder logic for troubleshooting purposes
- Troubleshoot and work with sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other electrical components
- Install, test, modify, and upgrade manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies
- Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before failures occur
- Assist with equipment installations, machinery upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, and other maintenance equipment
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II employees
- Support efforts to improve equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing or production equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Experience with PLC systems and industrial controls
- Ability to interpret ladder logic for troubleshooting
- Experience with sensors, relays, contactors, and VFDs
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Experience with automation or automated manufacturing equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance issues
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced maintenance technicians
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical school, vocational training, or maintenance-related certification is a plus
- Ability to pass a Ramsey mechanical aptitude assessment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around machinery for extended periods
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier materials with assistance
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, varying temperatures, and elevated work areas
- Ability to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other maintenance equipment as needed
