POSITION DESCRIPTION

Therapeutic Franchise Head - Rheumatology

The primary role of the Franchise Head - Rheumatology at Spherix Global Insights is to oversee all aspects of a specific business unit covering a range of therapeutic indications.

A successful candidate is a results-oriented leader that thrives in a fast-paced environment and can think strategically while managing and growing their business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the strategic plan for the franchise including P&L management, publication plan development, new product development, and business/organizational development.
• Work with Executive Management team to pinpoint growth opportunities – beyond franchise – for the organization.  The Franchise Head will work with executive management to expand the organization by helping to identify new product, services and bolt-on partnerships/opportunities aligned and synergistic with our growth plans.
• Work intimately and actively with clients, and potential clients, to assure Spherix’s position as a go-to source for insights and strategy within Rheumatology.
• Lead across the organization while developing a team of Insights Directors and Insights Analysts to execute the publication plan. 
• Attend national and international conferences to stay updated on the latest data, meet with opinion leaders and key clients and present Spherix data where applicable
• Work closely with the KOL advisory board and key therapy organizations to say abreast of the changing disease landscape.

KEY SKILLS, COMPENCENCIES, AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

• Proven business development experience
• Demonstrated (Servant) leadership
• Advanced project management skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Advanced data analysis and insights generation experience
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel, SPSS and PowerPoint
• Five-years of relevant experience in therapy area, market research, consulting, or account management
• Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred
• Preferred experience; not mandatory
• Good working knowledge of the gastroenterology market
• Experience with both US and ex-US markets

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

• Compensation package includes competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience, as well as an annual bonus linked to franchise and company profitability
• Some travel commitments, including international, to attend medical conferences and client meetings
