Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant with strong design, development, application, and administration skills to join our customer delivery team. As a competent and effective team member, your focus will be on ensuring high customer satisfaction by delivering quality work within scope and quickly becoming a trusted advisor for Red Hat customers.

You will work to quickly understand the customer's infrastructure and business issues, making recommendations appropriate to their specific environment and project needs. If you are passionate about open-source technologies, hands-on implementation, and growing your expertise within Red Hat best practices, we want you on our team.

What you will do:
Customer Success & Delivery:
  • Analyze and deliver assigned tasks within the scope and timeline of the project, balancing technical implementation with meeting customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate considerable judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, validating recommendations with project or delivery management.
  • Attempt to solve problems independently while knowing when to ask for help from more senior associates.
  • Ensure consistent contributions to consulting engagement documentation and openly inform project management on project progress and status.
  • Explain and assist others on the project in the configuration and use of various technical tools involved.
  • Clearly articulate the customer benefits of Red Hat technologies and recognize how solutions can affect a customer's culture and organization.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Actively participate in day-to-day teamwork, discussing the team’s short-term work and identifying missing gaps.
  • Lead by example, make direct team members feel included, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Mentor Junior/Associate Consultants and be willing to take on leadership opportunities as they present themselves.
Communication & Collaboration:
  • Easily communicate with direct team members about project work and confidently explain technical knowledge to non-technical audiences.
  • Respond to customer challenges, project escalations, and process exceptions in a professional and flexible manner.
  • Present to customers or internal audiences on your area of expertise while maintaining Red Hat messaging.
  • Understand the relationship between sales and consulting, as well as the fundamentals of Red Hat consulting offerings.
Giveback & Development:
  • Actively contribute to giveback initiatives at a regional scale.
  • Embrace a growth mindset, consume experienced-level training, and apply completed training to your projects.
  • Familiarize yourself with and apply the open-source philosophy, as well as Red Hat project delivery methodologies.
What you will bring:
  • Consulting Fundamentals: Strong background in IT infrastructure with an understanding of project business objectives and statements of work (SOW). Expertise must center around the hands-on implementation of solutions with Red Hat products.
  • OpenShift Core Infrastructure: Advanced knowledge in Red Hat OpenShift, with hands-on ability to configure core infrastructure components including DNS, NTP, networking, and storage.
  • Installation & Provisioning: Experience executing OpenShift installations (Bare metal, Redfish, Virtual Media, Agent, or Assisted Installer).
  • Advanced Networking: Strong fundamental networking skills, including knowledge of OpenShift port requirements, OVS bridges, Linux bridges, and VLAN management for OpenShift Virtualization environments.
  • Workloads & Lifecycle Management: Hands-on capability in deploying/managing VM and container workloads, as well as executing OpenShift lifecycle management (updates and upgrades).
  • Virtualization & Automation: Practical experience with OpenShift Virtualization, the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV), and infrastructure automation tools like GitOps and Helm.
  • Storage, Security & Operations: Experience with storage networking (e.g., iSCSI), OpenShift Operators management, observability (logging/metrics/alerting), and configuring RBAC/Authentication (such as Okta).
Nice to Have
  • Certifications: At least 1 technical certification related to OpenShift or Red Hat products, adhering to regional certification requirements.
  • Awareness of tools and packages in the broader marketplace beyond Red Hat technologies.
  • A strong, expanding professional network within your career path and region.
