Job Title: Research Support Assistant III
Grade: 12
Salary: $23.75-$28.38
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a part-time Research Support Assistant III position. The part-Time Research Assistant working in a grant-funded behavioral pharmacology cannabis research laboratory will be responsible for observing and recording research participants' activities in a residential cannabis laboratory; start date is immediate. A one-year commitment is required.
Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills, attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work without continuous supervision are critical components of this position.
The hours for this position are as follows:
Evenings (3:30-11:30pm), overnights (11:30pm-7am) weekends (daytime/evening). May include occasional weekday hours (Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:00pm). Approximately 20 hours per week, but will vary depending on study enrollment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research Laboratory Assistant will electronically record participants' behaviors, communicate with participants, and record/manage data.
- Incumbent will assist in operational activities, participant phone screening, data collection, transfer and entry, regulatory compliance (e.g. HIPAA), credit card handling, vitals measurement (e.g. blood pressure, heart rate, carbon monoxide, breathalyzer), food handling, and inventory maintenance.
- Research Assistants will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigators of the Cannabis Research Laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of (2) years college experience, or an associate's degree required.
- Taken courses regarding psychiatric and human subject's research.
- Willingness to work evening and night shifts.
- Availability to complete required training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least (1) year of experience with Microsoft Suite and REDCap
- Experience with human subjects research environments. Experience working night and/or 3rd shift.
- Interest in novel psychopharmacology, psychology, and psychiatric studies.
