Overview

Position is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating the quality assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant audits with the cross functional team to ensure ISO 9001 compliance / Work with management team to educate and resolve non-conformances
• Support Lean initiatives to encourage standard operating procedures, eliminating 7 areas of waste, process improvements, and new technology investigation
• Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning factors such as business situations, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products
• Investigate customer complaints and facilitate root cause analysis in the plant and at customer locations
• Manage employees assigned to area of responsibility
• Assure program elements are established, implemented, and effectively maintained in compliance with ISO 9001-2015
• Cooperate with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
• 3 years of experience in quality management
• Strong working knowledge of ISO-9000
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external customers
• Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Problem Solving Skills
• Advanced mathematical skills
• Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once

Preferred

• 3 years secondary aluminum knowledge
• Experience with QS-9000 and ISO-14001.
• Knowledge of Optical Emission Spectroscopy
