Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be adept at implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, systems administration, cloud technologies and ensuring robust security and compliance. Your expertise will be critical in supporting and enhancing our infrastructure and deployment processes.
This position is a temporary to possible permanent role with a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
· CI/CD Management: Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab. Ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes.
· System Management:
· Administer services and applications, focusing on stability, security, and performance.
· Monitor system performance, availability, and security, ensuring all updates are completed and functioning optimally.
· Automate routine tasks using scripting (Python, Go).
· Cloud & Virtualization: Develop and manage applications in AWS, Azure and on premises.
· Infrastructure as Code: Automate container deployment and management.
· Security Testing: Implement Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
· Reporting: Create comprehensive reports on code testing coverage, vulnerability analysis, software bill of materials (SBOM), and observability metrics to ensure compliance and quality standards.
· Automation: Develop automation scripts to streamline processes and improve deployment efficiency.
Qualifications:
· Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
· Experience: 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
· CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
· Systems Administration: Some experience in system administration, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
· Virtualization: Hands-on experience managing virtual machines and containerized applications.
· Cloud Platforms: Strong knowledge and experience with Azure and AWS cloud services, including deployment, management, and scaling of applications.
· Testing: Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices to ensure software quality.
