What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, offices, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor visitor activity and report unusual behavior, unsecured doors, damaged property, or other security-related conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
