RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Design & Implementation of Support Programs:
- Parent Involvement/Engagement
- Community Outreach/Inreach
- Student/Teacher/Parent Survey
- SHINE/STRENGTH
- Student Engagement Committee
- Assist with House System
- Coordinate Service Day
Design & Implementation of College Readiness Program (for middle school students):
- Assembly Presentations
- Create College Readiness Presentations
Academic Tracking & Support:
- Review student academic progress and develop work plans
- Middle School Progression Tracking
- Absenteeism tracking
- FLVS & Course Recovery Tracking
- Assist with scheduling conferences
Social-Emotional Support for Learners/Families:
- Character Program
- Behavioral plan check-in's
- Behavior triage
504 Support:
- Work under ESE teacher’s guidance to learn and support the Section 504 process
- Show 504 meetings and parent conferences during the fall semester
- Assist with gathering learner data, teacher input, attendance records, and other relevant documentation
- Support communication with teachers and families regarding meeting and accommodations
- Help monitor the implementation of accommodations and follow up with teachers and needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential 504 records, timelines, and meeting documentation
- Begin managing 50% of the 504 caseload in semester 2 with supervision and support
- Gradually transition to managing the full 504 caseload by end of 2026-2027 school year
- Complete all required Section 504 training identified by administration
- Refer counseling, mental health, compliance, or eligibility concerns to the appropriate qualified staff member or administrator
Campus Support:
- Before and After School support
- Lunch/Advisory support
- Substitute as needed
- Other tasks as needed

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the Clearinghouse.
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 1 year classroom teaching experience
- Applicants must have valid FLDOE temporary or professional teaching certificate or current Statement of Eligibility issued by FLDOE
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience
- Demonstrates a results-driven track record with experience in, and commitment to, standards-based curriculum and the use of data and assessments to drive instructional decisions
- Demonstrates quantifiable and objective student performance gains that surpass local averages
- Demonstrates experience as a successful manager of creative and innovative classrooms who has used discipline, structure, appropriate incentives, and high expectations to achieve measurable academic and civic success
