The Design & User Experience team is the engine driving the creation of intuitive, scalable, and human-centered digital experiences across the Google Operations Center (GOC) network. As the UI/UX & Platform lead, you will manage platform design maintenance, execute fast-turnaround feature enhancements, and enforce design system alignment across all GOC enterprise tools. In this role, you will fully insulate core development sprints from BAU disruptions while maintaining a consistent, high-quality UI standard across the entire suite of applications.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage ongoing platform design maintenance and execute fast-turnaround UI enhancements to support BAU needs.
Maintain, scale, and enforce design system standards across all GOC enterprise tools and AI platforms to ensure UI consistency.
Insulate core engineering and product development sprints by rapidly addressing operational design updates, bug fixes, and minor workflow tweaks.
Establish feedback mechanisms with regional operations to identify daily UI/UX friction and rapidly translate user needs into refined components.
Standardize platform support workflows by creating reusable UI assets, design documentation, and design component specs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia Arts, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, platform maintenance, or design system management.
Experience managing and contributing to centralized enterprise design systems and component libraries.
Demonstrated experience handling rapid-turnaround UI updates, platform support tickets, or fast-paced design enhancements.
Global Stakeholder engagement experience required for cross collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Success executing UI design maintenance across enterprise software, proprietary platforms, or AI workflow tools.
Expertise in Figma design system library management, component variant creation, and design tokens.
Proven ability to translate user feedback and operational friction into clean, compliant UI enhancements without disrupting core engineering sprints.
