ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job Function & Responsibilities
• Execute sales and outreach strategy to maximize membership growth, including meeting Medicare D-SNP enrollment goals as well as individual sales and performance goals.
• Serve as a visible representative of GCHP in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with providers, community-based organizations, senior centers, advocacy groups, and other referral sources to support enrollment growth.
• Conduct regular field visits to provider offices and community partner locations to strengthen relationships, identify enrollment opportunities, and support member acquisition and retention efforts.
• Build trust and educate individuals on Gold Coast’s Medicare Advantage Dual Special Needs plan. (Selling season is year around and is dictated by the business need and CMS enrollment periods).
• Create meaningful, face-to-face connections through grassroots marketing, community events, and in-home visits providing a personalized experience that aligns to Gold Coast Health Plan’s mission.
• Drive self-generated sales, meet performance goals, and expand Gold Coast Health Plan’s presence in the market by becoming a valued resource and building relationships in our community.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of D-SNP product and relevant D-SNP plan offerings.
• Answer questions related to Medicare D-SNP sales and enrollment. Help create, maintain, and use operating instructions and tools needed to support department activities and to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Research, identify, resolve, and respond to inquiries from beneficiaries, members, providers, community partners, and internal agents.
• Organize and conduct sales presentations in the community and assist eligible beneficiaries to enroll, including conducting a needs assessment to best explain product offerings.
• Make outbound calls to follow up and close business; receive and manage inbound enrollment calls, and emails from other departments.
• Manage and execute a field-based outreach plan through regular provider office visits, community presentations, health fairs, educational events, and relationship-building activities with community-based organizations to achieve Medicare D-SNP enrollment objectives.
• Seek opportunities to improve GCHP’s image in the community. Contribute ideas to increase retention and enrollment.
• Develop, maintain, and use competitive analysis to inform sales and retention efforts, including identifying and studying key competitors and their products, as well as related industry issues to maintain a personal awareness of competitive advantages and disadvantages.
• Stay current on GCHP product and competing products. Stay current on CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and with California specific guidance.
• Successfully complete GCHP required product and certification training; maintain California Life, Accident and Health Insurance License.
• Attend and actively participate in required departmental meetings, training and coaching sessions.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
• Associate’s degree in a related field of study
• Equivalent In lieu of degree: Will accept at least 2 years of equivalent academic education, professional training, or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Active CA Health Insurance License required.
• Active Medicare AHIP Certification required.
• Background in selling Medicare products – with emphasis on D-SNP plans.
• Comfortable with daily face-to-face interactions in prospective members' homes, at community-based events and engaging with the community through service, retail environment, organizations, volunteer work, or local events.
• Experience with the Medi-Cal program.
• Minimum of three years of Medicare sales experience.
• At least one year experience with the Medi-Cal program.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Must reside in Ventura County California
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Background in selling Medicare products.
• Experience in public speaking or delivering presentations to groups.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRMs
• Bachelor’s degree.

Technology & Software Skills: Advanced computer skills in MS Office products
Certifications & Licenses:
• A valid and current Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and professional licensure(s)
• California Life, Accident and Health Insurance License.
• Valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance meeting at least 25/25/10 coverage limits (or higher, based on state requirements).
Additional Information:
Driving Statement
This role is part of our company's driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and are expected to maintain personal vehicle liability insurance. State driver's license is subject to driver license validation and MVR review. Individuals must carry vehicle insurance in accordance with their residing state minimum required limits, or $25,000 bodily injury per person/$25,000 bodily injury per event /$10,000 for property damage or whichever is higher.
Language Proficiency Assessment:
Any Gold Coast Health Plan associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency.
Schedule:
Meeting with members requires appointments and/or event times that may vary at night and weekends. Flexibility is essential to your success.
Training:
The first five weeks of employment and attendance are mandatory.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Gold Coast offices for training or meetings may be required.
The estimated pay range for the position is:
$66,667.00 - $93,333.00The pay range above represents the minimum and maximum rate for this position in California. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Salary range will vary for remote positions outside of California and future increases will be based on the pay band for the city and state you reside in.
