Job Summary: The Transportation Manager oversees the vehicle fleet across all agency locations. This role ensures compliance with state, federal (5310), and agency standards; manages maintenance, cleaning, and tracking; develops routes; and supervises Operations Technicians.
Essential Job Functions
- Fleet Management: Schedule preventative and standard maintenance, repairs, inspections, and cleanings with mechanics, dealerships, and vendors.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all vehicles carry required equipment (first-aid kits, fire extinguishers) and legal documents (registrations, insurance, inspection logs).
- Driver Training: Develop, coordinate, and personally conductinternal drivertraining programs to ensure all staff are fully trained and compliant with safety protocols.
- Routing & Logistics: Develop transportation routes and assign vehicles efficiently across all locations. Job Description: Transportation Manager
- Inventory & Administration: Maintain accurate fleet inventories, update digital management portals, and organize transportation records.
- Supervision & Policies: Manage Operations Technicians, coordinate vendor relationships, and enforce agency policies (e.g., fuel procurement, accident reporting).
- Advocacy, Collaboration & Compliance: Maintain confidentiality, uphold agency values, and advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Maintains confidentiality of information regarding Members and The Opportunity Tree. Compliant with attendance rules. Comply and enforce the Policies, Procedures, and Regulations of The Opportunity Tree.

Requirements
Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Pinal County
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Current driver license with Non-Restricted Motor Vehicle Record and compliance per the requirements of The Opportunity Tree’s insurance carrier.
- Communicate in English; speech, write and read.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: Three (3) years of transportation coordination and one (1) year of management experience preferred; Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) experience a plus.
- Knowledge/Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), online portal navigation, time management.
- Personal enthusiasm for participation in a non-profit organization, which provides services to individuals with IDD.
- Positive attitude and ability to represent The Opportunity Tree effectively in the community.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
- Successfully meet AZ-DPS requirements for Fingerprint Clearance Card; and complete and maintain all required training which may may include CPR, First Aid, and Article 9.
- Reliable transportation and possible travel for The Opportunity Tree business.
Work Environment:
