Role purpose

This role will support the tracking of the operational and financial deliverables of the Global Transformation program.

The Transformation Finance Manager will work closely with the APAC Transformation Director, as well as other members of the program team, locally and regionally.
 

Key Accountabilities

This role will principally provide the financial analysis and support of the core DfG Finance program including the following:

  • Reviews and provides advice on strategic financial plans in partnership with business leaders

  • Partners to provide insight and challenge through financial analysis to enable business partners to make key decisions and achieve targets

  • Analyses consolidated budgets and forecasts, and provides interpretation, insight and guidance

  • Identifies and drives operational improvement through analysis of financial plans, management information and performance

  • Works with business leaders to understand short, medium and long-term resource requirements and impact on forecasts and budgets

  • Identifies and supports initiatives to improve profitability/margin

  • Supports the APAC Transformation Office, as necessary with high quality and insightful analysis as requested from time to time and works with them to deliver impact with the business

  • Supports the implementation of best practice financial planning techniques in line with business needs and supports initiatives to improve the quality and consistency of business and finance data

  • Maintains and updates the core financial model of the overall program as necessary

  • Provides high quality presentation updates on changes to financials and underlying drivers

  • Supports the preparation of internal reporting including the retranslation of central financials into wider consolidated reporting, including reforecasting/annual planning cycles and program wide submissions

  • Develops and maintains the cost and benefit tracking of the overall program, proactively identifying potential gaps to targets

  • Other Adhoc activities as necessary


Professional Skills

  • High degree of financial modelling (Advanced Excel) experience in similar programs

  • Ability to interpret complex financial models built by others

  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure absence of errors

  • Ability to articulate complex financial matters simply, identifying the significant drivers/areas of focus

  • Relevant track record operating within large, complex global organisations, that have navigated through shared service transformation programs delivering process optimisation and operational excellence.
