Responsible for application of advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret and make deductions while developing and maintaining centralized education services for clinical co-workers including but not limited to those serving in outpatient, ambulatory, home care and long-term care settings. Assists with strategic planning for consolidated clinical education services offered at local levels. This position leads clinic education services scope: orientation, competency program, in-service education, and continuing education in assigned community. Serves as a trainer and leader for the Mercy University - Clinic Academy program in the community assigned working with Director – Clinic Education and peer OTE trainers and Mercy University – Clinic Academy site operational leaders to assist with the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and operational training content. This individual must be willing to cross departmental lines and assist operationally when patient needs recommend it. This individual must be able to fill in for peer Training Coordinators in their assigned community when a position is vacant and licensure allows. This individual must be willing to integrate into the clinic setting at designated Mercy University – Clinic Academy site and partner with site operational leader to ensure OTE training goals and operational goals are aligned. Ensures Mercy Values and Charisms are reflected in all aspects of training in the assigned community. Position Details:

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:
•    Associate's Degree or comparable experience in a clinical, educational, or management area of expertise. Must be a certified Medical Assistant or licensed nurse.

•    Able to travel within the community as needed, with occasional assistance in neighboring communities possible.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
•    Bachelor's Degree in a clinical, educational, or management area of expertise. Advanced clinical education and/or training/education certification desirable.
Licensure:
•    Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
Experience:
•    Three (3) years experience in training and development, one (1) year clinic experience, and three (3) years of experience leading people, processes or projects.
Certification/Registration:
•    Advanced clinical education and/or training/education certification desirable
