As a National Security Manager, you will develop and implement efficient security strategies to safeguard our organization’s employees and assets. Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

  • Developing and implementing robust security strategies and policies to protect the company’s assets, employees and facilities.
  • Assess tools, software, and systems to drive success.
  • Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigating security breaches and reinforcing appropriate measures to mitigate them.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements into business processes and projects.
  • Conducting regular security assessments, audits and inspections to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining and updating emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know their roles and responsibilities.
  • Collaborating with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security measures and respond to incidents.
  • Fostering a culture of security awareness and training employees on security protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and implement extensive security plans, policies and procedures to protect personnel, assets and information through a shared services environment serving 20+ group companies.
  • Lead, identify, and train designated associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Manage access control systems, surveillance equipment and other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as human resources and IT, to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
  • Investigate security breaches, incidents and violations, document findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security capabilities.
  • Educate employees on security awareness, policies and procedures through training programs and communication initiatives.
  • Stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.

 

Required Skills/Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident management software and other security-related equipment, such as access control systems and CCTV surveillance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and programs.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations and industry standards pertaining to security and safety.
  • Proficiency in security assessments, audits and investigations at a large scale.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Travel required 25%.

 

Desired Skills:

 

  • Relevant professional certifications in security management or related areas, like Certified Professional (CPP) and Certified Security Manager (CSM).
  • Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing security threats and technologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Training or experience in emergency response and crisis management. 

 

Salary and Benefits: 

  • $120,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
