JOB TITLE:  Head of Workplace Propositions.

SALARY: Competitive.

LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Bristol or London.

HOURS: Full-time.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.

What you’ll be doing

As the Head of Workplace Propositions, you'll shape strategy, influence senior decision-making and deliver solutions that improve financial outcomes for customers while driving commercial growth. You'll work closely with executive leaders across Scottish Widows and Lloyds Banking Group and represent the business externally across the industry.

Your accountabilities will include:

Strategy & Market Leadership

• Define and deliver the Workplace proposition strategy.
• Anticipate market, regulatory and customer trends and shape our response.
• Champion customer, employer and commercial outcomes.
• Influence senior stakeholders to secure investment and strategic alignment.
• Act as a recognised voice for Scottish Widows in the workplace pensions and savings market.

Proposition Development & Innovation

• Lead the design and development of market-leading workplace propositions.
• Drive innovation whilst ensuring solutions are commercially viable, scalable and compliant.
• Partner across Workplace, Retirement, Wealth and Investment teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Shape product strategy, growth opportunities and simplification initiatives.

Governance & Customer Outcomes

• Ensure strong product governance, regulatory compliance and Consumer Duty outcomes.
• Oversee proposition risks and controls whilst enabling business growth.
• Drive delivery of value for customers, employers and shareholders.

Leadership

• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team of proposition and technical specialists.
• Build future talent and strengthen organisational capability.
• Create an inclusive, collaborative and high-performance culture.

 

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Significant experience in workplace pensions, retirement, savings, investments or a related financial services business.
• Proven track record of developing and delivering successful customer propositions and strategic initiatives.
• Strong commercial, strategic and customer focus.
• Experience influencing executive and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and external stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and developing talent.
• Resilience, pace and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Highly Desirable

• Established industry profile within workplace pensions, savings or retirement.
• Experience operating at Executive Committee or senior governance level.
