Position Summary:
The Buyer position requires a talented, entrepreneurial, and driven individual who strives to source and purchase components using the most modern and cost-competitive options available. This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Sources within commodity strategies to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are achieved
Supports product development team through on-time sourcing
Achieves best in class pricing and builds supplier relationships through fact-based negotiation
Manages Procurement team’s deliverables for select program launches
Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods, such as raw materials, tools, parts and supplies to support the company’s needs
Maintains and improves departmental procedures
Collaborates with suppliers and cross-functional colleagues to determine the root cause of supply disruptions and implement appropriate corrective actions
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university in a related field of study
3-7 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment; electronics background desirable
Experience in applying analytical skills to negotiate successfully with supplier
Demonstrate ability to take the initiative in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
Experience sourcing products in Asia a plus
Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products as well as ERP systems
Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels inside and outside of the organization
The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is: $49,300 - $63,200.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
