Description
You’ll support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, residential, and light industrial construction projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Support subcontractor and supplier solicitation, review quotes, and assist with bid comparisons and selections
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates
- Complete quantity take-offs and pricing across various scopes of work, maintaining clear and accurate estimating documentation
- Assist with RFIs, bid requirements, scope reviews, and the preparation of tender submissions
- Work closely with estimators, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information
- Participate in site visits, estimate reviews, and pre-award meetings while continuing to build knowledge of construction costs and estimating practices
Qualifications:
- 1–5 years of estimating, project coordination, or related construction experience, ideally within commercial, residential, or light industrial construction
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
- Exposure to quantity take-offs, construction pricing, budgeting, and the tendering process
- Experience with MS Office and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff (OST); BIM experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills with an interest in continuing to develop your estimating knowledge
