Engineering Manager
Northampton |DOE | Permanent
We’re partnering with a successful manufacturing business in Northampton that is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to take ownership of its engineering function.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be the driving force behind the site's maintenance and engineering operation, including:
- Leading, developing and motivating the engineering team
- Managing PPM, reactive maintenance and breakdowns
- Reducing downtime and improving machinery reliability
- Managing engineering budgets
- Managing contractors and site engineering standards
- Ensuring plant and machinery are safe, compliant and audit-ready
- Working closely with Production to keep everything moving
- Driving continuous improvement across the site
- Getting hands-on when the situation calls for it
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager who knows their way around a busy manufacturing environment.
-Strong people management experience
-Mechanical & electrical engineering knowledge
-Experience managing budgets
-Strong maintenance and engineering knowledge
-A hands-on, practical approach
-Excellent communication and organisation skills
-The confidence to make decisions and get things done
