Reporting to the Program Manager the Senior Supply & Logistics Specialist will provide subject matter expertise on Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and supply readiness to the CVN ROC, supporting CNAL Code N47 with logistics tracking, configuration management coordination, and readiness recommendations for aircraft carriers.
This is a contingent position expected to be located in Norfolk, VA. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate Supply Readiness with N437/N432/N41 program managers; review CASREPs and apply data analysis to develop repair courses of action.
- Collect, analyze, and distribute ILS and supply data from all CVNs to support Carrier Readiness Call (CRC) dashboards, and maintain access to systems such as OneTouch and Fedlog.
- Provide technical review and validation of logistics content, part numbers, and national stock numbers; assess ILS impacts on the Fleet and disposition of removed material/assets.
- Respond to CVN ILS/configuration inquiries, including ILS tracking for Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) and shipboard modernization, and resolve ILS deficiencies in support of Carrier Maintenance Support Centers (MSC).
- Conduct post-assessment review of supply and ship's configuration/logistics changes for provisioning new or modified equipment, and support ILSMT meetings.
- Recommend policy and procedural changes related to Integrated Logistics Overhauls (ILO) and new shipboard support programs; provide feedback to maintain process performance and data quality.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- HS Diploma required.
- Ten (10) years' experience planning, coordinating, directing, and administering logistics policies and readiness requirements, including tracking supply needs and identifying material delays.
- Ten (10) years' experienceidentifying and mitigating critical supply and logistics constraints, and providing recommendations for ILO policy/procedural changes.
- Ten (10) years' experience providing technical review and validation of logistics content and working with other government logistics commands.
- Five (5) years' experience working with Configuration Data Managers (CDM) and using supply/configuration management systems (e.g., IHS Haystack, TDMIIS, OneTouch, CDMD-OA, FEDLOG).
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Travel Required ~10% travel required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience providing oversight for logistics, inventory, and warehouse management for CVNs undergoing extended overhaul, restricted availability, or decommissioning.
- Experience with ILS tracking and MSC processing for Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) and shipboard modernization.
- Experience collecting and analyzing maintenance/logistics data (CSMPs, CASREPs, INSURV, OaRS, MFOM, DRRS-N, NDE) for trend analysis.
- Strong ability to coordinate across multiple government logistics commands to resolve configuration and allowance issues.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities.
