Role Summary 

The Senior Associate is responsible for the preparation and coordination of fund flow schedules for real estate transactions, operating within established Blackstone (BX) methodologies, templates, and instructions. This is a high-responsibility execution role, focused on the accurate preparation, reconciliation, and coordination of transaction-related cash flows. The role plays a critical part in supporting transaction closings by ensuring the completeness, integrity, and consistency of fund flow data prior to review and sign-off by BX teams. 

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Funds Flow statements for acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and internal restructurings, ensuring completeness and accuracy across all inputs 
• Lead coordination of inputs from BX deal teams, legal counsel, tax, asset management, property management, and external advisors to meet closing timelines 
• Review, validate, and ensure completeness of transaction-level cash movements, including:

• Purchase price adjustments
• Debt drawdowns and repayments
• Fees, taxes, and closing costs
• Intercompany and seller/buyer settlements

• Manage and track changes across multiple deal iterations, ensuring robust version control and consistency of outputs

• Support and contribute actively to day-of-close execution, including performing final checks and incorporating last-minute updates under tight timelines
• Maintain clear, auditable documentation with strong attention to accuracy and traceability
• Act as a first point of contact for BX queries, providing timely and well-structured responses and clarifications
• Proactively identify discrepancies, risks, and inconsistencies, and escalate where appropriate
• Contribute to process improvements and standardisation initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality
• Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of prepared fund flow schedules
• Act as a first-line preparation and control function, ensuring deliverables are of high quality prior to BX review

What You Bring To The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• At least 6 years’ accounting/finance experience with 2-3 years of experience focused on real estate finance, fund administration, transaction support or financial operations
• Strong understanding of real estate transaction mechanics and cash flows
• Prior experience with Funds Flow preparation or transaction close support (real estate, private equity, or advisory environment)
• High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong Excel skills; comfort working with complex models and reconciliations
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across time zones
• Clear written and verbal communication in English

Preferred skills and experience

• Exposure to real estate transaction structures (acquisitions, development finance, joint ventures)
• Experience in fund administration firms (e.g. Apex, Vistra, Alter Domus) or Big 4 transaction services
• Familiarity with sources & uses / waterfall structures - Experience preparing or reviewing Fund Flows / Sources & Uses schedules 
• CA / CFA qualification in progress or completed
