Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant (MA/PSA) - Medical Group Specialty Suites

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

·         Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant

·         Location: Chicago, IL - Lakeview Clinic

·         Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)

·         Hours: Rotating 8-hour shifts between 8:00AM and 8:00PM/Monday to Sunday

·         Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

·         Answer phones

·         Schedule appointments

·         Collect co-payments

·         Complete patient registration

·         Provide other administrative support to the physician practice

·         Check in and check out patient

·         Verify insurances

·         Greet patients and escort them to exam room

·         Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit

·         Provide front office support as needed

·         Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight

·         Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

·         Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required

·         Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required

·         Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.  On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
