Manufacturing- Installed Base Line Project Lead (IBL-PL)- Linkou

Introduction

As an HVM BL Project Lead, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and strategic alignment across high-volume manufacturing (HVM) and business line (BL) sectors. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to ensure smooth installations, meet customer expectations, and deliver long-term value.

Context of the position & Job Mission

ASML Linkou Factory (LF) is an integral part of ASML operations contributing to ASML rapid business growth, technology roadmap, and sustainability. In Manufacturing department the Install Base Project Lead position has been setup to be the key link between technical execution and business priorities—balancing output, quality, and customer requirements while leading projects that improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Job Description

Drive installation escalations, strategic alignment, and cross-sector collaboration to meet output, quality, and customer requirements. Lead roadmap execution and deliver cost and efficiency improvements.

1. Lead Installation or Field Escalations & Issue Resolution

• Take ownership of critical installation escalations, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions quickly.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer concerns, working closely with Product Team, including Business Line (BL), Development & Engineering (D&E), Customer Support (CS), Marketing (MKT), Account teams, & Planning & Delivery, and Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P).
• Performance Expectation: Resolve 100% of escalations within Service Level Agreement (SLA) and maintain customer satisfaction.

2. Align Priorities & Drive Strategic Direction

• Facilitate consensus between LF and BL teams on technique and business priorities, considering output, quality, and customer needs.
• Adjust strategies based on changing business conditions and ensure timely decision-making.
• Performance Expectation: Lay out key processes and change management for new contents in LF, e.g. advanced AI solutions

3. Build Cross-Sector Relationships

• Represent Manufacturing in building strong, long-term relationships with other sectors.
• Ensure transparency and alignment between LF and Manufacturing Product Team (PT) through routine reporting and communication.  Drive the issue closure with effective containment and solutions against RCA, e.g. Output Deviation Report (ODR).
• Performance Expectation: Deliver monthly PT reports on time and maintain 100% status update of factory escalation and intake items to closure.

4. Execute Roadmap & Secure Resources

• Drive deliverables based on PGP roadmap (post-KD13) and secure resources for each stage.
• Examples include prioritizing D&E between LF and CS in post-KD13 and preparing capability for long-term service support in KD16.
• Performance Expectation: Aligned factory point of view and represent in PT meetings and vote Go or Nogo (NG) in KD13/14.

5. Lead Cost & Efficiency Projects

• Take ownership of short- and mid-term projects that deliver measurable improvements.
• Examples: Achieve product cycle time reduction and returnable transportation tool reuse cost savings.
• Performance Expectation: Achieve cost target thru project delivery

Education

Master’s degree in Engineering or related field; MBA a plus

Experiences

We are looking to hire a candidate that has >8 years of experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing. Proven track record in project management and cross-functional leadership.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
