Job Summary
Are you passionate about helping people and being part of a team that makes a difference every day? In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting healthcare providers and creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient.You’ll work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to help deliver efficient, compassionate care. From welcoming patients and gathering important health information to preparing exam rooms and supporting clinical services, your work will have a direct impact on the patient experience.

What You’ll Do:
• Welcome, interview, and assist patients while collecting vital signs and health information.
• Prepare patients, exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for visits.
• Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and test results.
• Support laboratory specimen collection and preparation.
• Assist with office duties, patient communication, and coordination with other departments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to provide excellent patient service, and more!

Qualifications
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: - Excellent interpersonal communication and skills whether in person, via the telephone and/or in writing. - Superior service attitude Compassionate and kind - Energetic and upbeat. - Self-motivator - Works well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Demonstrates intellectual independence and initiative and has a desire to learn and develop new skills and better methods of completing work efforts. - Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to organize time and priorities effectively, asking for direction when appropriate. - Flexibility and proven ability to handle multiple tasks. - Experience with common PC computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook, reference management software. - Excellent sense of humor. - Comfortable in a practice environment/culture that promotes ongoing change toward process improvement. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS (if applicable): - Current Basic CPR certification required EDUCATION: - Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent - Graduate of an MGH approved Medical Assistant program required
EXPERIENCE: - 6-12 months Medical Assistant experience preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS: - Normal office conditions. Will be provided with computer and other equipment/supplies necessary to perform outlined duties. Minimal travel required to attend off-campus meetings and/or conferences.
